ABOUT ME

Ezra Crowson, MSW, LSW

I started my practice with one goal in mind: to help people access cutting edge treatment that changes lives.

I received my Master’s in Social Work with a Certificate in Mental Health, Addiction, and the Family from Tulane University in 2022, and I’ve been providing therapy in a variety of settings ever since. As a gender non-conforming, neurodivergent therapist, I am deeply committed to offering person-centered, LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed care that is holistically focused on the needs of my clients.

I believe that the foundation of anti-oppressive care is built on the preservation of my clients' right to self-determination within the therapeutic relationship. This means that I work alongside you, respecting your autonomy and personal experiences, to create a safe space for growth and healing. I’m passionate about neurodivergent self-advocacy, and I love utilizing psychoeducation to help increase understanding of neurodivergent traits, especially within family systems.

I’d love to help you find your new path. See how you can work with me to discover how to live with radical self-acceptance.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, families, groups, and couples in various settings, including schools, clinics, and in-home environments. This diverse experience has shaped my flexible and eclectic approach to therapy. I draw from a range of modalities, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotional Freedom Technique, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory-informed Psychoeducation, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, and the Gottman Method, among others. I use these techniques to provide personalized, client-centered care. I have also been trained to provide Exposure and Response Prevention for the treatment of anxiety disorders, phobias, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I am an LSW in the State of Colorado and currently receive supervision through Jessica Eden, LCSW, LAC, ADS, who owns Intuitive Life Wellness and EntheoIntegration LLC.

When formal licensure processes are available for psychedelic therapy in 2025, I will receive my Natural Medicine Facilitator license after completing the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider Training that I am attending at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I am currently a sitting member on the board of Leaf and deVine Ayahuasca Church and am in the process of completing their three-year facilitation training program. I am passionate about volunteering and working within this community because I believe that psychedelic medicine can help us foster deep connections and life-changing spiritual insights. This belief was reinforced during my Deep Dive Dieta in Peru, where I learned more about plant medicine.

One area I’m particularly passionate about is helping clients find a sense of safety within their bodies. I use somatic techniques and teach somatic coping skills to support emotional regulation and stress management. Currently, I’m working on earning my RYT 200-hour yoga instruction certification, which allows me to incorporate breathwork and body-based mindfulness into my therapeutic practice.

Before entering the mental health field, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tulsa. I’ve relocated to Colorado to pursue opportunities in the psychedelic therapy space and am thrilled to be serving this community. I’m particularly excited to explore the intersection of autism and psychedelics as a potential breakthrough therapeutic option.

When I’m not at Syzygy, you can often find me volunteering in the community, exploring nature, working on creative projects, or spending time with my two dogs, Winston and Margaret.
